This cabin has a private bedroom with a king bed, a full pull-out sofa bed, and a sleeping loft with four mattresses. Each cabin has a kitchenette unit for light-duty cooking, as well as a private, dedicated bathroom in the shower house, a short walk away. Just bring your own sleeping bags or blankets. We provide the rest!

Reservations canceled at least 30 days prior to their check-in date are eligible for a 95% refund of the deposit. The remaining 5% is withheld to cover our costs, including credit card processing fees.
Children Policy
We welcome children aged 8 and above in the lodge. All ages are welcome in the cabins. For your safety, climbing on rock outcroppings and antique equipment displays is prohibited.
Smoking Policy
The lodge and cabins are smoke-free, but there are smoking areas outside.
Pets Policy
Beginning in 2025, we no longer accept pets. Our own pets are not allowed in the lodge, but they do occasionally greet guests outside in common areas. (This can include cats, dogs and chickens.) Please call ahead if this is a problem.
A deposit in the amount of 50% of room charges (excluding cleaning fees and taxes) is due at the time of reservation request. The balance (including any cleaning fees and taxes) is due upon arrival.

We loved staying at one of the cabins at Buffalo Rock Lodge! The setting was gorgeous, nestled in amongst the trees and rock outcroppings, and we enjoyed the visiting deer and wild turkeys. Our cabin was well-appointed, clean and comfortable, and the central grill/picnic area was great for cooking dinner and chatting with the neighbors. Marilyn is really hospitable, from the detailed instructions to the complimentary snacks she left us. We can’t wait to come back!
My buddies and I did my bachelor’s trip at her cabin for the weekend and had a great time. The fire place is amazing and the bathrooms are WAY nicer than I would have expected for a campground! I would love to go there again in the future!

What an absolutely beautiful property! The cabin was amazing, with comfortable beds, a nice tv, wifi access, and everything you'd want from a "glamping" experience. We saw deer in the morning and the clearest night sky I've ever seen. 10/10 would recommend.

The cabin was so beautiful inside and out. Marilyn was very communicated during messages to help with check in.
Absolutely recommend staying in one of Marilyn's clamping cabins. The cabin was nice and spacious and had everything we needed for exploring South Dakota for a few days. The property is absolutely gorgeous and Marilyn and her team were very accommodating and helpful when we had questions. The playground and community fire pit were so fun - my kids made friends with other kids from all over the country. Highly, highly recommend!
We had an amazing stay in the Woodpecker cabin. It was even better than the pictures. My entire family was comfortable and had plenty of room. (Seven total, 6 adults and a teenager) Marilyn and staff made sure we we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back.
It was perfect for our family of 5. Marilyn greeted us and accommodated a later check in from us. She was so kind and the place was so well taken care of!! My kids loved the playground after visiting Mount Rushmore.

This cabin was so clean and cute! this is a dry cabin, but the bath house is not far and is clean and accessible. they also provide plenty of water. the water station in the cabin also provides hot water, which is a bonus as well.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Marilyn. We look forward to visiting again in the future!
